Ristorante Pasta Sauce Donation to The Assembly Soup Kitchen

描述

(21/11/24) A total of 444 cartons of pasta sauce made their journey from Penang to Shah Alam and finally to the Soup Kitchen, thanks to the incredible support of Kiwanians who lent a hand to unload the sauces. Shout out to Sandra and Jocelyn! That’s actually 10,656 packets of tomato paste that could feed up to 31,968 people! I’m not a numbers person, but WOW—it’s amazing to think that all of this would have just ended up in landfills if we hadn’t stepped in to redirect it to the soup kitchen.
I am incredibly grateful to The Assembly Soup Kitchen, who will turn these sauces into meals for the B40 community, refugees, schools, and those in need. I look forward to seeing the delicious menu they will create for the beneficiaries. None of this would have been possible without Mr. Jayshankar Velayutham from Dr. Oetker Nona Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. who reached out to me.
We hope to inspire even more individuals to join us in preventing food waste and helping feed our communities. If you are interested in getting involved or supporting our projects, please reach out to us to find out how you can help. Together, we can make a real difference!

Flood Relief Drive21 1月 254

Flood Relief Drive

Our representative Dato' Fatimah Saad was part of the Flood Relief efforts and personally went to deliver the essential supplies. Here's a write up below from Dato'.  I was incredibly fortunate to lead the recent Flood Relief Drive organized by the National Council of Women's Organizations (NCWO). Today, we successfully delivered 68 boxes of essential supplies to flood victims in Kota Tinggi, Johor, through the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA). We're also planning to deliver more boxes to those affected in Pahang later this week. These boxes contain vital items like diapers, sanitary napkins, detergents, headscarves (tudung), underwear for women, and hygiene kits. All of this was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of individuals, companies, and other non-profit organizations who donated to our cause. A special thank you to KCTTDI for their generous cash donation."

Donate A Book, Share A Story4 12月 2413

Donate A Book, Share A Story

Kiwanis Club of Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (KCTTDI) and Books For A Better World (BFBW) have come together once again for another collaborative effort. "Donate A Book, Share A Story" has been running consecutively for three years, and today it was held at Tropicana Gardens Mall (TGM). Together with Nature Farm, ED Labels, D’Italiane, and GSC, we joined forces to make the day extra magical for the children of The Assembly Learning Centre (TALC). The children were initially shy as they took to the stage, but they soon overcame their fear and sang a few delightful songs, with the guests cheering and singing along to boost their confidence. We had the privilege of YAM Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah Binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, YBhg Puan Sri Dato’ Hajah Khir Johari (also known as Mama Kiwanis), Andrew Ashvin of Tropicana Gardens Mall, and Adrian Ung (CEO of Books For A Better World), who personally presented Christmas gifts to the children. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our sponsors: BFBW (for gifting books), TGM (for the musical box & carousel ride), Nature Farm Enterprise (for refreshing coconut water), ED Labels (for stationery and bags), D’Italiane (for the delicious lunch & desserts), and GSC (for popcorn, drinks, and Moana 2). Their collaborative effort truly exemplifies the true meaning of Christmas, spreading joy and promoting literacy among underprivileged children. This collaborative effort aims to boost literacy among underprivileged communities, and today we were able to treat 40 children and teachers to an unforgettable experience. We plan to continue our efforts and are happy to announce that from January onwards, we will be donating 1,000 books to various homes, shelters, and communities around the Klang Valley. If you would like to be part of this effort, please get in touch with us. Together, we can make a difference! #DonateABookShareAStory #BooksForABetterWorld #KiwanisTTDI #Kiwanis #JoinKiwanis #RiseofthePhoenix #MakeADifference #SpecialEducationNeeds #CompassionInAction

KCTTDI Fellowship at Amcorp Mall

(28/11/24) We've been keeping busy, but we always make time for one another! That's the spirit of Kiwanis! Today, old and new friends came together for our monthly fellowship gathering at 385 Restaurant in Amcorp Mall. Together, we shared stories about past projects and our upcoming Christmas project, which will take place on December 4th to bring Christmas cheer to refugee children! We also put our brains together on how we would like to see the club grow! Stay tuned for more exciting projects, or even better, join us on our next adventure!
